Since I'm on the topic of guitars, please allow me to introduce you my main work bass! She's a real gem, the Yamaha BB1500a. It's outta production though... Future upgrades will include an Aguilar OPB-3 preamp to replace the slighty noisy Yamaha preamp, a Hipshot Ultralite Bass X-tender to effectively lower my bass's range (makes playing songs like My Sacrifice, Slither and Unwell alittle easier) and Hipshot Ultralite tuners.

Note the bass strap. Bought it off eBay. Most comfortable strap I ever used. Head over to Comfort Strapp and check it out for yourself. Awesome shit although not exactly cheat.

Just recently swapped the bass string tree with a roller style from Hipshot. Yamaha inlay on headstock is gorgeous.

Always been a Rotosound RS66LD fan. They last bloody long and they're bloody bright. Screw nickelwound strings, ha... I do have a bass mute (piece of foam) which I stick under my strings once in awhile though.

Yes, I'm changing the look of the bass. Yes, I've a vain bastard. 3 ply pearloid pickguard purchased from GuitarPartsResource. Cutting the pickguard and then getting it bevelled is gonna be a bitch though...

Fingerboard's drying out. Too many nights in a pub, heh.

5 controls. 3 band active EQ. Volume, Pickup Panpot, Treble, Bass and Mid band selector with 2 presets which can be adjusted to cut/boost mids.

Prefer to travel light when gigging. Marshall compressor does get swapped out with a dbx MC6 compressor when it's needed.

My trusty Korg tuner. Tunes anything without even batting an eyelid. Great for tuning on and off stage as no output is needed for it. Only gripe with it? It doesn't have a bloody backlight! Seen here on my Squier Stratocaster...

Ok ok, this is me. Yeah, flared nostrils and everything blah blah... The next post will be featuring my original "wife". The Yamaha Attitude Limited-II! I do hope I didn't bore the shit out of people who aren't into music, wahaha...
